Horizons.

Faith. Music. Life.

Acquaintances.

There’s a large group of people I know that are all the same.

Everything about them echoes other people I know.

They base their beliefs of a deity on irrelevant things, trivial things, and meaningless things.

Whenever I’m around these people, all I see is the reflection of the people they seem to be leeching their own “personality” off of.

As a whole, this really doesn’t bother me, until it comes to what they believe. They claim to believe the same thing I hold so tight to, yet they are a poor representation of something so ridiculously important.

The very essence of what they claim is lost, considering they don’t even fully understand what it is that they are pinning to themselves because of the people they hang around, or more commonly, the music they listen to.

Music absolutely rules the world. Give somebody music to listen to, and it will change how they think, or how they see the world.

But since when did people take music and create an identity for themselves found only in the music they listen to?

I wish I could understand why people let music, or other people dictate everything they want to be. Instead of stealing an identity for yourself, creating one out of thin air, just search for the real thing. Outside of music, and outside of other people’s thoughts, outside of any hindrance telling you what to say or think.

Search for an answer to all of your spiritual questions, instead of letting a musician or another human being so quickly answer them for you.

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." - Matthew 7:7.
